2024年5月11日上午，我校BC课程部成功举办了“家庭日”活动，该活动不仅让家长们有了更深入了解学校生活的机会，也为学生们提供了一个展示自己才艺的平台，这次活动中每个环节都是由我校Leadership课程的同学们组织设计的，如茶话会、灯笼设计、数学展示、足球比赛、教科之声、棉花糖活动、乐队演出和spike ball等。
On the morning of 11th May 2024, the BC Curriculum Department of our school successfully organized the “Family Day” activity, which not only gave parents a chance to have more understanding about the school life, but also provided a platform for students to show their talents. Every single part of the event was designed by the students from the Leadership12 class of the school, such as tea party, lantern design, math display, football game, Jiaoke BC voice, mash mellow activity, band performance and spike ball.
尽管周六下着小雨，同学们还是热情地进行了与返校毕业校友的飞盘对抗比赛，以及和外教老师们的躲避球比赛。除此以外，同学和家长们也参与了很多室内的活动，让我们听听他们参加家庭日的感受：
Despite the rain, students enthusiastically competed in a frisbee match with returning alumni and a dodgeball match with teachers. Besides that, students and parents also participated in many indoor activities, let’s hear their feelings about the family day:
10D Susan：今天我在茶社为大家制作红茶，红茶可以清热解表，提神消疲。大家在这里除了品茶，享用点心，还可以聆听古琴老师和BC的同学为大家演奏的古筝、中阮和钢琴。这里的氛围特别好，大家三五成群的坐着聊天。我认为这就是family day的意义，让大家都聚在一起沟通、享受生活。
11C Leslie：我今天在茶社为大家分发小点心，老师们买来了各式各样的糕点，供大家在聆听乐器演奏时品尝。活动结束后，我又前往校友会活动与Dr.Ted老师及毕业校友们进行了沟通交流，收益颇丰。他们给予了我很多对大学申请、大学生活以及未来职业规划的建议。在走廊里，数学老师Mr. Hu让pre cal 12的同学们制作了desmos的数轴画供大家欣赏，这不仅让我们复习了之前所学的内容，也深化了我们对所学知识的理解。
11A Luna: 今天是我第一次在教科参加Family Day的活动，学校里的活动很丰富多彩，有茶艺中华传统文化的表演，学校乐队的演出，我自己也去参加了的师生dodgeball比赛。虽然我不是很擅长体育，但是在参加躲避球比赛的过程中也很开心，和老师同学们相处得都非常愉快。总之我今天真的非常开心，明年的Family Day肯定也会再来参加的，也非常希望能有更多有意思的活动！
BC部的第一次校友会活动同样特别引人注目。毕业的校友们回到母校，与老师和学弟学妹们深切交流，分享自己的精彩故事和对母校的热爱与怀念。有毕业了的学长向我们感叹，许久没有回到教科校园，看到了美丽的校园，熟悉的老师们，感觉很亲切，也很怀念在教科的高中生活。
The first Alumni event was particularly noteworthy. Graduating alumni came back to share their wonderful stories and their love with their teachers and students. Some graduated seniors exclaimed to us that it had been a long time since they had been back to the Jiaoke campus and seeing the new school building and the teachers, they felt very close to each other and missed their high school life.
我校BC课程部升学指导老师Dr.Ted告诉我们，作为BC首次的校友会，这次活动是一个圆满的开篇。有 40 多名往届的学生来到了校园，其中包括BC课程部第一届毕业班的学生。这是一次有趣的聚会，大家叙旧并分享他们从教科毕业后的故事。校友会的举办为校友们提供了一个很好的契机，让大家重新建立联系、分享最新信息、回忆在校时光。我们很高兴今后能举办更多这样的活动，帮助建设我们团结的教科大家庭。
Dr. Ted, our academic advisor told us: “Our very first alumni event at Jiaoke was a big success! Over 40 former students came, including some from our very first graduating class. It was a fun and exciting reunion where everyone got to catch up and share stories about what they’ve been doing since they left Jiaoke. The event was a great chance for alumni to reconnect, share updates, and remember their school days. We’re excited to host more events like this in the future, helping to keep our community strong and supportive.”
今天的“家庭日”活动展现了BC学生积极向上、阳光健康的精神风貌，也体现了教科BC课程部“融合中西，和谐发展”的办学理念，同学们在努力汲取学术知识的同时，也有发展和展示自己其他兴趣爱好的平台。祝愿未来教科BC的大家庭更加紧密、更加温馨！
Today’s“Family Day” activity demonstrated the positive and healthy spirit of BC students, and also reflected the philosophy of “East meet West” of the BC Curriculum Department of Jiaoke, in which students have a platform to develop and show their other interests while they are also gaining academic knowledge. We wish that our Jiaoke family will become even closer in the future!
